We work on gutters only as far as where their water goes. Engineered detention ponds, public storm sewers and floodplain reclamation belong to civil engineers and utility contractors. When a problem is one of those, we say so. ## How we approach a yard 1. **Source first.** Roof water, grade, neighbors, the street, sprinkler leaks and groundwater each call for a different fix.
